Adaption/Using Environment to the People's Advantage
Due to the ever-growing population and chemicals fleeing into the air, New Delhi has been bumped up to the city with the #1 worst air. The air in this city is said to be 60 times higher than the level considered safe. Lung diseases and cancer are anything but rare to citizens living in New Delhi. Some people's bodies have just adapted to it because they have grown up not knowing anything different, but lately some people have tried to make a difference, realizing the danger that they're in. The Delhi Pollution Control Committee was created in 2002 by the government, claiming to be their 'action plan'. Things have started to get slightly better ever since but there is still a lot to do. People have been using the environment to their advantage by planting crops in the parts of the city with lush soil, and controlling the rainwater that comes with monsoon season.
How Have People Changed/Developed the Land?
Like I was saying above, the air pollution has affected New Delhi very much. The amount of people living within the city are mostly the reason for all of the unhealthy air. It could affect the environment in a negative way, lately their hasn't been as much rain for crops during the monsoon season, and tropical areas are drying up. But with the help of the people they could get New Delhi back to normal. From the land forms they have, the workers in India have been processing and creating goods such as Uranium and a lot of fish! They use these items to sell for money and goods to benefit their country.
How Dose Environment Shape Life in New Delhi?
Based on where someone lives in New Delhi, they could process several different things. If you lived on the coast it might be easier to get fish, as opposed to living in New Delhi where it would be easier to get Uranium. The population within your environment can also majorly affect how you live. Like if you live in New Delhi it is more likely to have respiratory problems. It all depends on the environment you live in!
